This on-camera performance is an extension and continuation of an earlier performance I conducted at the Sokołowsko festival in 2011, titled "Hysteria." https://izabelachamczyk.com/en/actions/performance/histeria.html

In a white dress, on a very windy day, I entered the cold Mediterranean Sea. I lay down at the edge of the waves, which alternately swept me away and then "spit" me ashore. The action continued until my body became exhausted.

The work was presented as a large-screen installation at the Mediations Biennale in the exhibition entitled "The Limits of Globalization" in Poznań in 2014, at the exhibition "Only Broken Clocks Show Accurate Time" on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Gdańsk City Gallery in 2019, and at the group exhibition "Exercises in Transience" at BWA Olsztyn in 2024.
