PAINTING AS A DISEASE

The artist invokes the primal needs of creation and destruction. During her performances, she becomes a physical medium—part of the painting spread out in space, which she animates and allows to act, and then—much like Hestia—bestows meaning upon it. Her paintings externalize pathological states, mental "disorders," and dreams, the genesis of which is rooted in life experience and relationships with others.
