LACK

The idea for the film arose from an emotional need and a lack of human contact. Sitting alone in my studio during the year of the pandemic, I realized how much I missed a normal life. I thought I wasn't the only one feeling this way, and decided to ask others about this lack.

LACK is a short film featuring the statements of 40 people. Each of them chose a place where they could meet during the pandemic to record their statements.

This number is not accidental. It refers to Krzysztof Kieślowski's Talking Heads, which featured 44 people.

In 2020 (20+20), the year the pandemic hit Poland, both I and Kieślowski's film celebrated their 40th anniversary.
