The idea for the movie was born out of the emotional need and the LACK of contact with people. Sitting alone in my workshop for a year, I realised how much of my ordinary life I LACK. I thought I’m not the only one who feels like that, so I decided to ask others about the LACK.
LACK is an artistic short film, containing the voices of 40 people. Each one of them decided where, during the pandemic, we could meet to record their statement. That number is not random. It’s a reference to Krzysztof Kieślowski’s “Talking Heads”, in which 40 and 4 people appeared.
In 2020 (20+20), the year of the emergence of pandemic in Poland, both the Kieślowski’s film and I, celebrated our 40th birthday.
